Southfield Restaurant Week Begins
Get prix-fixe meals from Bacco Ristorante, Gastronomy and more April 22-27
After considering the success of Royal Oak, and Detroit's upcoming Restaurant Week, Southfield's first-ever restaurant week kicks off today with hopes the city will lure folks to its roster of fine dining restaurants.
Southfield Restaurant Week patrons are offered a custom prix-fixe (three-course) menu from each participating restaurant that is meant to reflect each venue's range of tastes, Neapolitan and New Orleans to name a few, all within the price points of $15-$35 per person.
Participating restaurants include: Franklin Street Grill (in the Embassy Suites Detroit-Southfield), Bacco Ristorante, Pizzeria Biga, Beans and Cornbread, Skyline Club, McVee's Bar & Grille, Gastronomy and Tango's (in the Westin Southfield).
Hosted by the Southfield Area Chamber of Commerce, Southfield Restaurant Week is one way to keep the flow of business in area restaurants after 5 p.m., says Tanya Markos-Vanno, executive director of the Southfield Area Chamber of Commerce.
Restaurant owners and directors will meet with the Southfield Area Chamber of Commerce after Restaurant Week to discuss the event's reception and additional plans.
"The participating restaurants are the best of the best, so it is pretty exciting," says Vanno.
Southfield Restaurant week begins promptly at 5:30 p.m., and runs April 22-27.
