The Most Stylish, Thrifty Couple in Detroit

Christopher and TaNIsha Prater are tailoring their own special niche in Detroit with their store Thrift on the Avenue

It was the right time and the right fit for Christopher and TaNisha Prater to bring Thrift on the Avenue to Midtown. Running one of the only high-end thrift stores in the area, the couple continues to tailor a taste for high-quality fashion and affordable prices in the Motor City.

"(We seek) to be the fashion equivalent of this 'new Detroit,'" says Christopher: "A perfect blend of vintage and classic enlivened by the new."

The store regularly plays host to shopping and styling events and even coordinates its own fashion shoots with local fashionistas—all designed to invite local residents to explore the thriftier side of style. And while it may be true that clothes make the man, these clothiers are making a marvelous mark on Detroit and that never goes out of style.

Stop in at Thrift on the Avenue, located at 4130 Cass Ave., Suite B, in Detroit to find out about the latest styles and trends on the clothing racks. Want to make a personal shopping appointment? Call 313-649-7226 or visit ThriftOnTheAve.com.
