Submit an Event for the BLACDetroit.com Calendar

Create an account – or sign in, if you have one. (It's free, quick and easy! You'll get a confirmation email when you apply; check your junk mail if you don't see it.)

Add New Event

You're now signed into your "My Account" page. Click on the "My Events" tab on the left. Then, click "[Add New Event]" – the one next to "BLAC Detroit."

Details and Photos

Fill in the fields. Get detailed – especially in the "Description" area. Upload a photo, too – but please rename photos to your event name before you do. (It helps you show up more quickly in searches.)

Save – and Wait

Click "Save Event." You'll see a preview of your event come up on your screen. This does not mean your event is published yet! It usually takes us 1-2 business days to review, edit and approve it. Hang tight and check back.


What if your event is "live," but you (or one of our editors) made a mistake? You can't go in and fix your submission yourself, but you can email calendar@blacdetroit.com, and we'll handle it in 2-3 business days.
