Made by Hand: Detroit’s Ceramic Legacy features the prolific history of Detroit’s ceramic icon, Pewabic Pottery.

  Under the direction of founder Mary Chase Perry Stratton, Pewabic Pottery produced nationally renowned vessels, tiles, architectural ornamentation for public and private installations. Works by Pewabic Pottery can be seen throughout the United States in such places as the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington, D.C., the Nebraska Sate Capital, and the Science Building at Rice University in Houston.
