Heart Disease Awareness Events In February

Metro Detroit events to promote, improve heart health

Cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of death in the United States, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. In an effort to raise awareness of cardiovascular disease and encourage general heart health, several events have been organized. Here is a guide to some of those happening around town. Thursday, Feb. 2

Dearborn Inn

The Dearborn Chamber of Commerce and DMC Harper-Hutzel Hospital will host “Love Yourself, Love Your Style"—a fashion and wellness event, featuring health experts who will share important information about heart health, smart eating and exercise.

Friday, Feb. 3

National Wear Red Day. Join thousands of companies, schools, clubs and organizations as they raise awareness for women’s heart health by wearing red.

Garden City Hospital
