Men of Style Scholarship Contest Photo Gallery
Preparing Detroit male high school students to be out future leaders
Photos by Karen Kish
For the first time, the William Malcolm Man of Style And Substance contest selected high school students instead of adults as participants. This year’s event is the third annual competition. It is a scholarship contest with 23 youth—chosen out of a pool of 130 applicants—that participate in a program that promotes academic excellence, exposes them to volunteerism and community service and nurtures a greater sense of family responsibility. These photos were taken at the Style and Substance scholarship conference at Marygrove College.
