Owner Amina Daniels isn't afraid of a little sweat.
Live Cycle Delight, a contemporary cycle studio in Detroit, opened March of last year, and now, owner Amina Daniels has expanded her fitness dreams with a sister studio. LCD Hot opened on June 22 near her flagship location in the West Village neighborhood and offers hot yoga, total body resistance exercise and strength training classes.
"After opening Live Cycle Delight, I began to notice an increasing demand to practice more yoga variety which was outpacing what we could offer in our current studio," says Daniels. "We saw an opportunity to elevate our yoga offerings and increase efficiency by adding additional classes throughout the day, which is why we decided to expand our brand and open a sister studio." Hatha, Ashtanga and Vinyasa yoga along with meditation classes have moved from Live Cycle Delight to LCD Hot. The new operation also boasts Pilates (including pre- and post-natal) and "sculptlates."
Daniels was the 2015 winner of the Comerica Hatch Detroit contest, an annual competition sponsored by Comerica Bank which awards $50,000 to entrepreneurs with a retail concept who wish to open a brick-and-mortar in Detroit, Highland Park or Hamtramck. "Amina is continuing to show the power of small businesses and their impact on Detroit," says Vittoria Katanski, executive director of Hatch Detroit. "Her commitment to provide quality programming to the community in the city is evident through the success of Live Cycle Delight and I know she will only continue to succeed as she opens her second location and continues to encourage other entrepreneurs to follow their dreams as well."
